Cuban cities beloved by Benny

Prepare to ship an adventure full of cultural highlights by visiting the cities the singer, bandleader, and songwriter Benny Moré loved the most. Benny was a master on most of the Cuban genres of its time such as bolero, mambo, and chachacha. This time we´ll be visiting Havana and Cienfuegos and ending our adventure in the touristic pole of Varadero.

Day 1 - Havana

Arrival at the Jose Marti International Airport to be warmly welcome by a member of our staff and take you to chosen accommodation in Havana.

Day 2 - Havana

Let´s have a breakfast early in the morning to gather strength before departing to a panoramic tour of the city in private service that´ll start with a walking tour through the Historic Center of Old Havana and of course its main streets and squares: Plaza de Armas, San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja and Plaza de La Catedral. We´ll also visit “Mother Teresa of Calcutta” garden, Temple of the Orthodox Church and the Rum Museum to enjoy a Havana Club rum tasting. Followed by some other visits to bars such as La Bodeguita del Medio and Floridita Bar. The lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Finally the tour will continue its road through modern Havana in an air conditioned bus, visiting Centro Habana, Vedado and Miramar neighborhoods including short stops at National Capitol and Revolution Square. After you rest at the hotel and in the evening we will take you to enjoy a show with emblematic figures of Buena Vista Social Club and its spectacle Traditional from the 50s

Day 3 - Havana – Cienfuegos

Early breakfast at the hotel and we immediately take you on a trip to the city known as The Pearl of the South: Cienfuegos. The city was founded in 1819 and it was the place that gave birth to the protagonist of our itinerary: El Benny. Cienfuegos has several landmarks of its own so get ready to a city tour sightseeing Thomas Terry Theater, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Provincial Museum, Town Hall, College of San Lorenzo and Ferrer Palace, El Malecon of Cienfuegos among others, and of course we couldn´t have forgotten Benny´s monument at el Prado. The lunch will be served at Punta Gorda restaurant and right after a visit to Cienfuegos Nautical Club and the dolphinarium. Booking at the hotel in Cienfuegos and at night a show at Benny More Night Club of course.

Day 4 – Cienfuegos – Varadero

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Varadero, first tourist destination of sun and beach in Cuba and located in Hicacos Peninsula, 140 kilometers from Havana only, it has a total length of 22 kilometers of beaches of the highest quality, beaches that well be yours to enjoy for the next two nights

Day 5 – Varadero

Day 6 – Varadero – Havana

Free morning to have breakfast and get ready to departure time from Varadero around 5 hours before flight departure on your way back home.

The adventure starts in the capital of Cuba and after arrival and an extra day to sightseeing Havana´s highlights and landmarks we will departure to Cienfuegos, known as the South Pearl and considered an architectural jewel and the city with most French influence of the island. Cienfuegos opens its doors and invites you to walk down its streets and seawall, and of course, some other obvious landmarks such as the Town Hall,  the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and Thomas Terry theater. And a Cuba visit would be obviously incomplete without spending a couple of nights in Varadero to take a sunbathe and enjoy chosen hotel amenities.
